We provide research services and participate in academic studies to help the advancement of aerospace technologies.
Even today, research and innovation are the lifeblood and raison d’etre of QuAero. Following the initial project that brought the company together, QuAero has actively participated in numerous research and innovation projects funded by the Malta Council for Science and Technology, all of which were in collaboration with the University of Malta.
In every project, QuAero founding members worked directly with their academic counterparts at the University of Malta, to incubate innovative ideas and create radically new aerospace technologies. The operational, technical and academic background provided by QuAero to these projects ensures that the foundations for these new technologies are strong and sound from inception.
Apart from working directly on the projects, QuAero also actively sources and coordinates flight crew, air traffic controllers and other aviation personnel with varying experience levels to perform evaluations of the research technologies. The evaluations provide the required feedback from the end-users and guarantees a more effective and user-friendly final product.
Each one of these technologies has helped bolster QuAero’s patent portfolio. Our team and partners actively market each of our patented technologies.
We provide safety management consulting services, training and advisory services on software products.
We help our clients create manuals for AOC compliance and train their personnel as required as well as advising on the development of software products for the aviation industry. All our services are high touch and customised to fit our clients’ needs.
We provide CRM consulting services, CRM training and manuals. Our team of highly qualified professionals can provide a variety of services to pilots and aviation organisations alike.
We understand it is essential that pilots learn as much as possible about how best to manage all the resources available to them in the cockpit including other crew-members, procedures, the machine interface, and themselves, recognising where they are most vulnerable and where their strengths lie.
CRM is today considered essential training for most aviation professionals who make an operational contribution, including air traffic controllers and engineers.
We supply Safety Software for aviation organisations as well as various other industries, coupled with back-office consultancy such as manuals and operational systems development.
QuAero is a licensed reseller of major software brands such as Centrik. Coupled with our expertise, our tech prowess and in-depth knowledge of the software make us a strong ally for our clients, in terms of operational efficiency and compliance.
Alan has been a pilot for over 33 years. For the first 7 of these years, he was an air taxi pilot as well as a flight instructor. The last 26 years he has worked as an airline pilot. During his years as an airline pilot, he has accumulated over 17,000 flight hours. These hours were obtained on various aircraft types from the BOEING B737-200 and the AVRO RJ to the Boeing B737-300/400/500 and Airbus A319/A320/A320NEO.
Until recently, he was flying operationally as a Captain with the Maltese national airline (Air Malta) on the Airbus A320 aircraft type.
